In 1958, Harrison joined the Quarrymen which became the Beatles a short time later.

After the Beatles parted, Harrison released a number of solo albums and produced films. He also joined the Traveling Wilburys reunited with Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr as the Beatles to record two songs based on demo recordings by John Lennon.

In late 1999, Harrison was stabbed several times in his home by an intruder. He recovered from the serious injuries.

In 2000, Harrison began recording an album whch was eventually released in 2003 - a few months after Harrison died following a long battle with cancer.
