Search Indexes

Many AWS queries require you to pass in a Search Index parameter. The Search Index is used by Amazon.com's servers to determine the format of the data to return.

Search Indexes are similar to modes. Search Indexes are used by AWS version 4 while modes are used in earlier versions of AWS.

Often the query will not return data if the specified Search Index does not match the Search Index of the browse node or product within Amazon's database. Unfortunately, it's sometimes difficult to determine the proper Search Index to use in a query.
